Clothes Spin: Fashion Love for September, October, November, and December 2013

I know, I know. The title of this post says it all -- I'm way behind on my blog entries! This is my attempt at catching up.

I didn't really take a lot of fashion pics during the "-ber" months. I didn't dress up much. My uniform has mostly been t-shirts and casual tops with jeans. That is why I kept delaying this blog entry. It's funny, considering how I said I had high hopes for September in my last Fashion Love post. Well, my bad (hey Clueless reference). The thing is, since I kept procrastinating on this, the photos piled up. So now I have a pretty hefty blog entry. Here are my few fashion moments from Instagram during the last months of 2013.

Thinking Pink

When you look at my closet, it's full of neutrals - grays, blacks, whites, plus splashes of blues and oranges. Now I'm getting a feel for more color in my life. Pink was the color of this particular day.

Clothes Spin: Fashion Love for July and August 2013

Hello September! I'm so glad August is over because that month was just horrible! I actually haven't been documenting my outfits much since July because I've been feeling blah and unenthusiastic about everything. That is why, unlike June's Fashion Love entry, I've combined July and August into one post and it's still going to be super short. I have high hopes for September though. Anyway, here are my favorite looks from July and August, ganked from my Instagram.

Whenever I wear this dress, I think of my bachelorette party, which was the first time I wore it. This time around I wore it to the hubby's friend James' birthday party.

Clothes Spin: Fashion Love for June 2013

This post is about two weeks late and it has been sitting in my drafts for that long. I wanted to finish the site up first -- get the design and my other tweaks implemented -- before I started posting again. So anyway, here it is.

I've been really bad at posting looks here. I'm not a fashionista (being the former editor of a fashion website doesn't necessarily make you one) but I do love clothes and shoes and accessories. My style is pretty casual, and I don't have the time nor the willingness to put in the effort to model looks or do actual photo shoots. I just want to wear what I want and then snap a quick pic of it at the start or end of the day. I do post about fashion things from time to time on Instagram though -- sometimes whole looks, at times just bits and pieces of outfits -- so I decided to just do a recap post with all the details. Maybe I'll do this every month, or maybe I'll post randomly -- I don't really know yet. For now, here are my favorite looks from June.

Orange Schmorange
June 2 - Wore this for just a random day out in the city. I built the outfit around my orange Nike wedge sneakers. Outfit inspiration: Kate Bosworth - pic is in this post about my sneakers.
