Mostly, I've been busy with work. The past month was crazy hectic, and then when things finally slowed down, I had to catch up with family and friends whom I've neglected. Seriously, I don't have the time to sleep these days, much less surf and read and cook and watch TV and focus on any hobbies. I'm going to get a handle on life at some point, and I hope that's soon, but for now, I'm trying, so please bear with me.
Let's start with a fun topic -- beauty! Since I haven't been blogging, products have piled up on me. This is a collective haul of sorts, because I'm excited to share all my new things. Read on.
- Lush Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub - Technically, this isn't something new, because I've been using Lush Ocean Salt for years. (Check out Up Close - Lush Exfoliators Part 2: Ocean Salt.) It's a brand new tub though. My skin has been problematic lately, and if this tried and tested product doesn't fix it, nothing will.
- Sephora Formula X Nail Polish in Incandescent - This is Essie Button's fault. She's been talking about Sephora Formula X nonstop, and I immediately fell in love with this particular shade when I first saw it online. I can never resist unusual orange shades, and this is another pretty cantaloupe color! Long story short, I had to get it. When my friend Sheva went to London and asked me if I wanted her to get anything, this was the first thing I thought of (thanks).
- Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Soothing Lip Balm - This was an impulse buy I made while looking through Healthy Options with my friend Anabel. As you probably already know, I'm a sucker for lip balm and I especially can't resist the ones that come in orange or citrus flavors like this one. I've been in need of convenient lip balm tubes after the Great Destashing Project, and this Avalon Organics Vitamin C lip balm managed to snag my attention. It's yummy, it's full of antioxidants, it's got photo-aging defense, and the tube is double the size of your average lip balm. What's not to like?
- Lush Rehab Shampoo - My hair has somehow been rejecting the shampoo I've been using, so I decided to turn to an oldie but goodie. Lush Rehab is packed with citrusy goodness -- a scent that wakes me up during my morning shower, and clarifying enzymes that should help calm my scalp.
- Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in London Posh - Had to ask Sheva to get this for me abroad because it wasn't out locally at the time. I think the Revlon Moisture Stains are really cool, with the pretty colors, moisturizing properties, and pretty packaging, but I'm reserving judgement until I finally get to try it (I will tomorrow).
- Topshop Lip Bullet in Crave - This is another product from abroad (local Topshop, can you please start selling makeup already). The Lip Bullet tube got to me since it's just so cute, and I went for the shade Crave -- a peachy nude -- because I'm adventurous with lipstick like that. I'm not sure this was a good purchase though. It's a little too out there, but I'm still trying to make up my mind about it.
- Maybelline ColorShow Eye Liner in Black - This was a random find from Watson's. I needed black eye pencil, saw this eye liner, and that was it.
- Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm in Oh! Orange! - The local Baby Lips is so different from the US version, so I was thrilled when Sheva got this for me as a pasalubong (the perks of having a friend who travels for work a lot, yay). The color looks shockingly neon in the tube, but it applies sheer. I've been trying to keep my obsession with orange lip products in control, but this was a gift and I love it. I can't wait to test out its 8-hour hydration thing.
That's it! Full reviews to come eventually, I swear it. So, how have you all been doing? Let's catch up in the comments!
Love the stain and the Baby Lips! Been wearing them a lot when I'm not in the mood for matte lips. Looking forward to your review!
ReplyDeletePS. We need to meet up soon too! :)
I didn't think London Posh would be orange-y but it kinda is. Not sure about it yet. Baby Lips looks like it would become my weekend lip balm, when I don't feel like wearing any makeup.
