Beauty Loot: Mini Lippie Haul 09.05.13

My biggest weakness when it comes to beauty is lipstick. I always have way too much in my stash, but I can never seem to stop acquiring lippies. I've been trying very hard to use them all up and not let any go to waste, so I have been keeping myself from getting new ones these past few months.

Today however, I caved! I couldn't resist, and it's all my friend Sheva of Beauty by Berrymix's fault, hah! She ordered a bunch of makeup from the US, and I bought a couple of her stuff. One is something I've been wanting for a while, and the other isn't available here so I had to get it. Here's my mini-haul, with first impressions after the jump.

• Rimmel London Show Off (Apocalips) Lip Lacquer in Luna - I've been curious about the Show Off/Apocalips lip lacquers since they came out, but I wasn't really expecting to be able to find them here. I'm a paranoid android about online shopping, and I am usually too lazy for the hassle that comes with it, so I was kind of resigned to the fact that unless Rimmel suddenly shows up on our shores, this is one lippie I'll never get my hands on. Well, thanks to Sheva, I have one. I chose the shade Luna, which looks like a very subdued shade of peachy orange. I'm a sucker for orange lipstick, and right now I only have strong oranges in my makeup kit, so this color was my first choice. The packaging looks wonderful, really sturdy and classy, and the color looks so delicate somehow in the tube. I can't wait to try it!
• NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Beige - This lippie is another YouTube beauty guru favorite. MissGlamorazzi, Pixi2Woo, and I think FleurdeForce all swear by this, so it has been on my shopping list for some time. I was resisting so hard, but Sheva brought it with her when we met up earlier and she knew I would budge eventually. She's my former housemate -- she knows me so well, ugh! Anyway, Beige is so far from its name because the shade is pink and does not fall in the cream/brown color spectrum in any way. I've been searching for nice, normal-looking lipsticks, and this creamy pink looks very promising. 

New lippies make me happy! Haha. The best part is that these are drugstore lip products, so they're all really light on the pocket (figuratively), and as of now, I have no regrets spending money on these. I might change my mind when I finally try them on though, so we'll see. Reviews for these products will be coming soon.
