Fashion Candy: Sole Society Chloe Fringed Heels

I was going through my closet earlier because I have a wedding to attend next week and I'm considering my outfit options. My Sole Society Chloe fringed heels caught my attention, and I realized these shoes merit a post as they've become one of my favorites.

They're peep-toe heels with fringes on them, plus silver studs on the fringes. I got them in the color Rust because I wanted a color that was unusual. I also wanted a silhouette I didn't have, and these fit the bill. They're definitely not your everyday shoes.

What I like most about them is that they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. They'll go with casual dresses, slim pants, baggy trousers, and even shorts, but they can also be worn with long, more formal frocks. I once wore them to my cousin's wedding with a color-blocked orange and blue dress and they looked perfect.

The only downside is that even though they might not look it, they're pretty high (around four inches). The combination of the shape of the shoe and the heel height make me a little wobbly in them, which is why I don't wear them often. I kind of have a little fear of heights when I'm wearing shoes that go above three inches, heh. The upside though is that they're actually pretty comfortable and don't hurt your feet. If you're the type who can run in seven-inch heels like Iron Man's Pepper Potts, then you wouldn't have trouble with these shoes.

They're also made of a kind of suede material, which is a little high maintenance. As you can see, they're already a little scuffed and dirty when I photographed them. They're pretty hardy though -- I've had them for a couple of years now and they still look good.

These heels are simply fun. They're not too serious, but they have that little oomph to them that makes them special and unique. Note to Self: I have to document a look that involves these shoes sometime.

Full Disclosure: These were sent to me by Sole Society for my personal use back when I was the editor of a fashion/beauty/entertainment website.

  1. I remember when you got these! They still look good! That's impressive considering how some of our local brand shoes get ruined when you don't wear them for a time.
