Beauty Loot: Drugstore Stuff I've Been Liking

Hey there! This is just a quick post (it seems a lot of my blog entries these days are "quick posts" heh) about new drugstore finds that I've been using and liking. I haven't been using these products a long time so I don't have much to say about them yet, but just consider this as a first impressions kind of thing. Here we go.

  • Love & Beauty by Forever 21 Grapefruit Cleansing Wipes -  I absolutely love Forever 21 cleansing wipes. They smell so good, are pretty soft, and do a good job wiping gunk off my face. I've used their Rose Extract and Green Tea ones before, which I loved so much that I always check Forever 21 for wipes whenever I get to drop by the store. I just hate that they don't always have them, so I try to hoard them when I can. This one is a new variant and it's my absolute favorite so far! Citrus scents are my jam, and the grapefruit scent of this is just so fresh. Oh, and Forever 21 isn't technically a drugstore, but they have makeup -- you get the idea.
  • Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose - I'm so addicted to the Vanilla & Macadamia lip butter, but I couldn't resist trying this other flavor. Well, I wasn't disappointed. It's really moisturizing and isn't sticky, smells so good, and tastes pretty yummy (though not as yummy as the Vanilla & Macadamia variant).
  • Watsons Mini Wet Wipes in Sweet Scent - I stumbled upon these at Watsons and since I always have wet wipes in my bag for emergencies, I grabbed a pack. These cute little packets smell like dessert! They're so handy too, plus they have moisturizing aloe extract and Vitamin E. I'm never leaving the house without them.
  • Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic - The lipstick junkie that I am just felt like getting a new lipstick when I was at the mall one day, and I decided to check out the Revlon Matte Balms because I'm so late to the party on that one. I actually adore the Colorburst balms because they have this minty flavor to them that wakes my lips up, and they're pretty moisturizing. The shade Unapologetic called out to me, of course, because it's loud and vibrant and pigmented, which are all things I usually look for in lipstick. It's an almost neon kind of coral pink! It's a little bit crazy. The only downside is that it's pretty unforgiving on the lips (it's called Unapologetic after all) and tends to highlight the nooks and crannies of my very dry pucker. It's supposed to have balm, but the matte-ness of it I guess as well as the color just make it that way. Despite that though, I love this lipstick. It lives in my bag these days, even when I'm using a different lipstick.
  • Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser - If you've been following this blog, you'd know that I've been searching high and low for a facial cleanser that's not too pricey but does the job, and that I haven't found anything. I think I finally found THE ONE! Cetaphil was recommended by my officemates Nina and Nikki H (thanks girls), who are both very loyal to it. They both have great skin, so I just had to check it out. I'm actually on my second bottle now, and I have no regrets. It makes my skin feel so soft and clean, and I haven't had any breakouts since I started using it. Hopefully, this is really the cleanser for me.
That's it for my short post. See you next time! What's your favorite facial cleanser? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I didn't know Forever 21 had wipes! I got the Cucumber one for my travel. My skin is being weird lately and I've been having weird dry patches. Ugh

    1. They do help with dry patches! I love these because they just help me take most of makeup off before I wash my face, and they help me freshen my face up when I'm in a hurry. :)
