Beauty Barrage: Pomegranate Showers

We're certainly feeling the heat here in the tropics now, and I feel like taking a shower ten times a day! It's super hot, which makes it a good time for me to talk about some shower gels I've been loving. 

Pomegranate shower things have become permanent fixtures in my bathroom. I've never seen an actual pomegranate, but I like pomegranate bath stuff. I normally go for citrus shower gels, but when I stumbled upon these pomegranate products, I was surprised that the fragrance was to my liking. Though technically a berry, the pomegranate's fruity scent is also somewhat citrusy, so I guess that's what it is.

Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Nourishing Smoothing Body Wash in Pomegranate + Rice

I found this Aveeno body wash at PureBeauty. I was looking for an exfoliating body scrub and this captured my interest. I mean, pomegranate plus rice? I'll have some of that.

I'm glad I got it because it does what it says. It has natural exfoliants, rice beads, and walnut shells that really smoothen the skin. It's not too gentle, not too tough, so it's able to slough off any rough areas. The pomegranate in it also helps soften the skin, while the colloidal oatmeal in it restore's skin's normal pH and helps lock moisture in. It has a light, soapy scent with just the right touch of pomegranate. 

I use this body wash once or twice a week for exfoliation. A little goes a long way with it too, so this big 473ml bottle is lasting me a long time.

Marks and Spencer Warm Pomegranate Shower Gel with Added Moisturizer

This Marks and Spencer shower gel was a gift from my cousins-in-law (thanks Erin and Bien!). I've tried a few shower gels from the brand before, but this was the only one that really stuck with me. I think I'm going to have to try more stuff from their Nature's Extracts line because it's great. 

Warm Pomegranate comes in a big bottle that also lasts quite a while. It's a clear, pink-purple gel with a yummy, refreshing pomegranate fragrance. My skin always feels so clean when I use this, and because of the moisturizer, it's so smooth and moisturized afterwards too. I will definitely be purchasing this myself when it runs out.
