The Starbucks x Moleskine Planner: My 2016 Work Planner

TGIF! The first work week of the year has just ended, so it only seemed appropriate for me to post about my 2016 work planner -- the Starbucks x Moleskine Planner.

Last year, I used the Starbucks Planner as my work planner. This year, I'm doing the same. I didn't plan on it (pun not intended, heh), but ever since I started collecting this planner I always wished Starbucks would collaborate with Moleskine. This is the year that it finally happened, and I couldn't resist. I had to get it.

Full disclosure: I have every Starbucks Planner that ever came out in the Philippines. Addict much? Yes indeed. I'm at Starbucks pretty much all the time -- it's one of my favorite coffee places -- so it's really easy for me to collect the stickers required for the planner. I actually used to be able to get more than one a year, and my friends would fight over who gets my extras.

If you follow me on Instagram (I'm liatenshi there), you would know that this year, I only got two (one for me, one for the hubby) because I now work in BGC and there are tons of other coffee shops around, plus there's a variety of free coffee in the office. I don't go to Starbucks as often as before when I used to work in Makati and there was a Starbucks on every street corner.

I chose the small black one. I wanted a handy one that I can put in my bag whenever I need to bring work home, and something that won't get dirty or look banged up. I also liked how chunky it was. It's cute. Here's a look inside.

Like I mentioned before, I don't decorate my work planner. Aside from the occasional Post-It note, I keep it as fuss-free as possible. I don't want to be thinking about my handwriting or anything when I'm busy jotting down work stuff. It has the trademark super smooth Moleskine paper, so it's kind of a shame that my handwriting is so ugly in it, hah! I do appreciate the quality of this planner everyday though.

This planner has an hourly format, but I ignore the times on the page unless I have something on my schedule. When I do, I make a square and then write down the meeting or office event or whatever beside it. I mostly just use it to scribble down my to-do-list for the day. I make haphazard little checkboxes that I tick off after every task. When I need more space to write on, I use the notes section in the back.

When I closed last year's work planner on the last work day of 2015, it was overflowing with notes, so I'm not sure how this teeny tiny will hold up this year. We shall see.

Are you using a work planner this year? What kind?
