Beauty Barrage: Up Close - The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream

Remember my post on my cold weather friends? The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream was one of the products I talked about in that entry, and I promised to post a full review after a couple of weeks of use. Well guess what? It has been about two months since I started using it, and it's time to share my thoughts.

The Product

We had a bit of cold weather back in January and it wreaked serious havoc on my skin. The skin on my forehead was the hardest hit -- my eyebrows, as well as the space in between them, became very flaky. It was a bit strange, but I've always had dry skin and the weather just pushed it to very dry levels.

Since I already had a favorite day moisturizer, I decided to look for a night cream to help repair my skin. The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream got my attention because Vitamin E has been touted as good for hair and skin, plus it had great reviews.

This night cream promises to restore and maintain your skin's moisture levels while you sleep. Cocoa butter and shea butter are two of the ingredients, which are both supposed to be very moisturizing. It comes in a small container with a tabbed cover under the screw-cap. That's great, because it keeps things from being messy, especially when I have to take it with me somewhere (overnights, trips, whatever).

The Formula

It's a light, pearly pink cream that surprisingly feels light. It isn't sticky or oily, and applying it is a breeze. After my cleansing and toning night routine, I just spread it out in small dots all over my face, and it absorbs into the skin quickly. Those are qualities that I look for in moisturizers and lotions because I really hate it when something feels thick on my skin. Since it absorbs fast, it doesn't feel messy either, and my sheets and pillowcases are grateful for that.

My Thoughts

It's terrific! Like I said in my previous post about it, the results were immediate. I saw an improvement the morning after I started using it, and consistent use made my skin loads better. Summer's here now, and my skin isn't as dry, but I still suffer from flakiness on my forehead (really weird, I know) and this helps a lot in keeping it in check. It also keeps the rest of my face looking smoother and less tight. I love it.

Do you use a night cream? What's your favorite?

  1. Oooh this sounds like a nice product to try! I have been loving the Vitamin E range of TBS lately too. I got the oil serum and the face mist and both are lovely little products. I really recommend the oil if you're looking to add more moisture into your skin!

    1. I love it! It really repaired my skin. I need to try that serum and I think I want the face mist as well since it's summer here now and it's getting really hot!
