Yes!
I started reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series last year. I didn't know if I would like it so I got the e-books first, but the story hooked me in almost immediately. I lost a ton of sleep for a few days, reading all five books one after the other. I have always loved Greek Mythology, so these books are so perfect for me.
The first series was so good I felt like Percy Jackson and the other demigods' stories didn't have to end after five books. I'm glad the author thought the same and went on to create the Heroes of Olympus series. The adventure begins again with The Lost Hero, yay! I decided not to get the e-books this time around and start building my Riordan library and get the actual books.
This book continues off the last Percy Jackson book, but with a different group of demigods. Percy and friends are still part of the story somehow, but they're not the main focus. The new group is just as charismatic as the old one though. There's Jason, a powerful demigod suffering from amnesia; Piper, who starts off lost and then comes into her own; and Leo, a wisecracking, but incredibly smart demigod. There's also all the other demigods in Camp Half-blood who round out the story pretty well.
Like all Riordan's books, The Lost Hero is a wild ride from start to finish. It's an exciting adventure that surprises you with some very unexpected twists and turns near the end. I can't wait to start The Son of Neptune next.
